HALLOWEEN!!

So...Ben decided to be JASON from "Friday the 13th" and Ian wanted to be the guy from "Scream". I guess the days of "cute" outfits are over...I mean they ARE boys. :o) I still think they look very cool!

Summer 2010

"Back to School!"

It's that time again! These are pics I took this morning before the boys went back to school. Ben is a 3rd grader and Ian a 1st grader. That's so hard to believe. As a teacher, I am always amazed at just how much kids seem to change over summer break. I see these pictures and am reminded that my own two change just the same.

"Take me out to the ballgame"

We took the boys to Wrigley Field this past weekend to see the Cubs play the Phillies! Needless to say, we had a blast! The looks on the boys faces as they got a glimpse of the field inside the stadium was simply priceless. I can remember my parents taking my brother and I here to see the Cubs play many times. Great memories were made...and the the Cubs won (by the way). :o)

We also took the boys to "Deep River Waterpark" in Merrillville. It was a really fun place and we had an awesome day playing in the water!

Handsome Boys...

My friend Amy came over yesterday to take some pictures of the boys. She found some really cool places! She's still working on editing but she sent me this pic as a "sneak peek". I love it! The boys look so grown up. :o)

Awww...baseball

Took these pics right before our final game of the season. It seems a love for baseball has taken over our household! HA! First thing Ben has done every morning this summer is get up to watch "Quick Pitch"...highlights from major league baseball games the day before. He knows the stats of just about every player by heart. Little brother Ian is not far behind...he pays attention too and can tell you a few "stats" himself. :o) Their team had a great season this year. Ben hit 2 inside the park homeruns...caught a line drive...made 2 double plays and just did an awesome job! Ian hit hard and got on base almost every time he was up (not bad for his first year of pee-wee!) I'm sure we will be spending many a summer day at the ballparks and I for one love every minute of it!!

SNOW DAY!!

We've been out of school now for the past 3 days! These are some pics of the boys playing outside in the snow left by the storm! Some of the drifts in the yard were up to their waists! We had fun pretending we were lost in the snowy mountains and had to find our way back to "the base" before nightfall. :o)
