"Breakfast With Santa"
We took the boys to "Breakfast with Santa" as we do every year. We get their picture with Santa each time and it's just amazing how they grow so quickly and change with each year. Ben told Santa that he wanted a "Cars" Activity Set and Ian told Santa whatever Ben told Ian to tell Santa! :)

The Scott's at "Breakfast With Santa"...

Papaw and the boys! (I guess Mamaw was taking the picture!)

This is a picture of the show choir that I direct. They always invite the kids up to sing carols with them and this is a picture of that moment.

**I'm pretty sure that we're getting our OWN digital camera for Christmas so we'll be able to get lots more pictures on our site for everyone to see. We'll definitely get some at Christmastime of Mamaw and Papaw and Nana and PaPa with the boys to share with you all ! Merry Christmas!!

Uncle John and Aunt Abby...

This picture of my brother and his wife was taken on Thanksgiving. What a cute couple!
My brother teaches PE & Health and coaches varsity basketball and Abby is a first grade teacher. Guess "teaching" runs in our family!
Things kids say...

A few days ago, after picking the boys up from the babysitter, we had an amusing conversation.
Ben said, "Mommy, Ian was not very good today. He kept getting in trouble a lot and doing things he shouldn't do." Then he said, "Does that mean that Santa is going to bring Ian coal for Christmas?" I couldn't help but laugh! I said, "No, Ben. I'm pretty sure that Santa won't be bringing Ian coal for Christmas."
They both make me smile every day with something they say or do. Seeing their excitement at Christmas just makes me feel like a kid again myself. There's nothing better than Christmastime...

"Thanksgiving Day 2006"

Having Fun with Uncle John!
What a fun time when the whole family can get together and enjoy each other's company! It's surprising that he can carry both boys on his back at the same time...what with him being "30" now and all!! HA! :) John and his wife Abby are the boys only aunt and uncle because Eric is an only child. I'm sure the boys will grow to treasure this relationship. :)

"My Goofy Guys"

Here are some more random pictures of the boys. Apparently in this picture, Ian thinks he is so important that someone would call him on the payphone at the Children's Museum! :) No, really he just loves phones!

Ben - stretching shirt over head.
Something I think we should all
try now and then!

Ian - not to be outdone by his brother,
gives it a try also.

I caught Ian here right in the
middle of saying the word "cheese" as
I snapped the picture.

They got these glasses for
Halloween and enjoyed wearing
them for several days after the
holiday.

"Trick or Treat"

Here's a picture of the boys on Halloween night, trick-or-treating! Ben is of course, the red Power Ranger, while Ian is the cutest version of Jack Sparrow from "Pirates of the Carribean" that I've ever seen! They had already been to Mamaw Crume's office that morning to trick-or-treat and came home with two pumpkins full of candy PLUS two Wal-Mart bags full of candy! Ahh! So, we took them around town to a few houses of people we knew. They had fun! Ian kept wondering why bubby's costume came with a mask and his didn't! I did eventually have to put all candy up high because my two little "secret agents" kept sneaking candy when I wasn't looking! :) You gotta love 'em!

"My Friends"

I got to hang out with two of my best friends from high school two weekends ago. Carri (on the left) and Amy (in the center). Amy is having twins (a boy and a girl) and her sisters and Mom gave her a baby shower. It was so great to see them both again. I believe it had been two years since I'd seen Amy and FIVE years since I'd seen Carri! Let's vow to NEVER let so much time pass again before getting together!!
It seems like only yesterday that we were all in high school together. Those were "the days"! Anyway, it was so great to see everyone together again and I just wanted to share a pic!

The Pumpkin Patch
We went to Stoney Creek Farms this past weekend to pick pumpkins for Halloween. The boys had a blast! We took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch where they looked to find the perfect pumpkins. They also checked out the farm animals and played in a huge mountain of hay. I think we brought half of the hay home with us!

Ben's First Soccer Season!
Ben's first season of soccer has officially ended.
His last game of the season was this past Saturday. Their last game was a good one and all the kids seemed to be having lots of fun! It was a lot of fun seeing him interact with the other kids and attempt to play the game of soccer. I have to admit that it was getting colder and colder each Saturday morning so we are glad that the games didn't go any further into Oct./Nov. :)

This is a picture of Ben's soccer team after the game. They are holding their snacks that they received after each game. They also received an olympic style medal for their finished season.

Ben's soccer medal!!

Here's Ian being his funny self...trying to keep warm with Mamaw Crume's earmuffs at Ben's soccer game!

Well, because I still can't figure out how to load a scanned picture onto this site, I have chosen this lovely music note/spider web clip art for your enjoyment! :)
A lot has been happening in the Scott household. Ben finally lost his first tooth and then his 2nd one came out about 2 weeks later! It was a momentous occasion as the tooth fairy made 2 trips to our house within 2 weeks! Seeing that big gap where his bottom two front teeth were just makes me realize how fast it all happens. He is just getting bigger every day. He loves pre-school and going to the public library is the event of the week each week.
Ian loves to watch "Bubby" play soccer. He has finally realized that he is big enough now to "wrestle" his big brother and sometimes even WIN! He's a toughy!
He took his first tumble down our stairs a week or so ago...nearly made my heart stop. He was fine though. Ben had already had 2 tumbles down those stairs so it wasn't quite the event that it had been with him...I had been through it before! HA!

This was my first attempt at posting a picture on my blog, so I had to use something that was already on my computer...thus this picture of "Wicked" which I absolutely cannot wait to see! I got the CD soundtrack last year and listen to it in my van ALL THE TIME! It is brilliant!! If you haven't heard it...go buy it! I'm hoping to get to see the stage show sometime in the next year. Some of my choir students have seen it and cannot say enough great things about it. The vocals are so incredible and you can kind of follow the story as you listen to the CD straight through. That's my "Wicked" plug! :)

Ben turns five years old today...big birthday!! He is growing up so fast and is such a great kid. I found that he has his first loose tooth the other night and I burst into tears. :) (There's no telling what I'll be like when he goes to kindergarten next year!) Anyway, I am so proud of him and it is a great joy to be able to watch him grow and turn into a young little man. I told him this morning that today is one of my very favorite days of the year...because he was born. Who knew how these boys would change our lives and hearts forever and for the better.

We are new to this whole "blog" thing, but they are so addictive to read that I figured "Why not try having one of our own?!" My husband Eric and I have two beautiful boys, Ben (5 yrs.) and Ian (2 yrs.) who keep us busy, busy, busy! :)

I teach middle school and high school choir and I love it! Eric works for a music store and enjoys his job as well.

Ben just started playing soccer this year and also attends pre-school for the second year.
Ian wants to do everything that "big brother" does and he has no fear!
